Popular actiivites
Golf
Scotland is the home of golf and there are wonderful courses in most towns and villages. You'll find club memberships are great value and children and young people are especially welcomed. This map shows some of the local courses.
Winter sports
There are serveral ski centres in Scotland with Aviemore and the Lecht within easy driving distance of Moray and much of Highland. You'll also find indoor centres at Aberdeen, Alford and Kingussie.
Watersports
Sailing, rowing, coastal rowing, white-water rafting, kayaking, diving and surfing are all popular activities across the region. Details of clubs and providers can be found on the internet.
Bag a Munro!
Munros are Scottish mountains over 3000 ft high. There are 282 in total with Ben Nevis the highest at 4,411 ft. So if hill walking and mountaineering are your passion this is the place to be.
