Volunteering
Many organisations rely on volunteers to enable them to provide services to the community. Volunteering can be extremely rewarding and also a great way to gain experience if you are considering a career change. Military charities such as Poppyscotland, SSAFA and Royal British Legion Scotland offer the opportunity to support the local Armed Forces community. Or you may prefer to look for something that is totally unrelated to the military and volunteer for an organisation that supports something you are passionate about, such as conservation or youth organisations.
