Further and higher education
Secondary education is from age 12 - 18 with secondary school being compulsory up to 16. From age 16 young people have the following options
Post-16 education options
- Continue at secondary school
- Attend a college of further education
- Undertake an apprenticeship
- Go directly into work or other form of training
- Volunteering or gap year
